We all have that friend, that person, who, ever since we were born, has been part of our lives. Our parents were probably our first teachers of Marathi and were excellent teachers. But for every child, there was always one teacher who was his life-long friend. We had that friend till we left home to travel across the world. For many, a monolog on current affairs, or the weather or a discussion on science or current politics was the gateway to a friendship that went beyond the rest of our lives. For us, that friend was home in a way. We were truly proud that he/she was our friend and we wanted him/her to know that we appreciated that friendship.

The Team came together for the first time, on Saturday, July 27th. It was a wonderful experience being together for the first time in the same venue. The meeting was hosted by the Central Adriatic University (CAU) on their campus in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The Adriatic School of Communication & Media (ASCM) was formed by students from the GSP-Marathi programmes held at CAU. ASCM is a network of two international schools of Communication & Media: the School of Media in Montenegro (MSM) and the School of Media in Spain (SMS). Both schools are accredited by the ISIA, in Spain, and the ISCA in Montenegro. The schools enjoy excellent partnerships with significant European partner schools and institutions.

The team was comprised of 15 students from the GSP-Marathi programmes held at the CAU, BA - Mass Communication, BA - Journalism, MA - Mass Communication and BA - Internet. The students came from Albania, Argentina, Canada, China, Columbia, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Pakistan, Serbia, Sweden and the UK.
