In March 2017, Google introduced Drive File Stream, a desktop application for G Suite (now Google Workspace) customers using Windows and macOS computers that maps Google Drive to a drive letter on the operating system, and thus allows easy access to Google Drive files and folders without using a web browser. It also features on-demand file access, when the file is downloaded from Google Drive only when it is accessed. Additionally, Drive File Stream supports the Shared Drives functionality of Google Workspace.[92][93]

Google Drive allows users to share drive contents with other Google users without requiring any authorization from the recipient of a sharing invitation. This has resulted in users receiving spam from unsolicited shared drives. Google is reported to be working on a fix.[120]

  • But here's the easiest solution for your Google Sheets: convert text to dates using the Power Tools add-on. It's literally a single radio button among other convert tools:The tool recognizes all these custom formats in your Google Sheets and converts text to date so all cells become consistent and can be used for further reference:This is it! I hope by now you know how to change date format in Google Sheets and convert dates to numbers or text. Hi Natalia!I have a problem with the way google sheets interprets the dates I'm writting. I have a column for dates with the format dd-mm-yyyy. However, when I type a date such as 12-2-23 it assumes the date 23-12-2012 by default! What can I do? Thanks!

As i am trying to use countifs formula for eg:- column C has filled with dark and column b with date , so I want to use this formula in a way if i give a date range for 15th jan to 20th jan how many count of dark is there while trying a formula in excel it was working but not in google sheet as there was some issue with date format while trying to change the date format for few cells it got changed but for few it didnt how to resolve these both issues

Hi,I'm still having trouble with my google sheet. Despite changing the locale and time zone to UK and formatted the date, it still appears in MM/DD/YYYY instead of DD/MM/YYYY. Can I email my google sheet to you and have it checked?

Hi i have 1 problem with dates if i type 23/8 it must put in the date 23/8/2020 according to my farnatting but it doesnt it only show 23/8 as data and not a date because it reads the 23 as month if i type 8/23 then it show the date 23/8/2020. I need to type the month first and then the date for google sheets to read it as a date. If i type the date and then the month as with excel, google sheets does not read it as a date. This is very annoying. Please help

Catalogs in Lightroom I understand are a problem on Network Drives/cloud based drives. the amount of space on the computer hardrives is an issue (Multiple students throughout a week of classes, Multiple classes, etc). As well the local hardrives aren't backed up (We save the data on the network/cloud based services).

As far as I know, there is no way to store a Lightroom Classic catalog on a network or cloud drive. People have tried to find workarounds, but other than putting the catalog file on an external hard disk, I don't really know if any have been successful, but I tend to doubt it.

When in use, the Lightroom catalog needs to be on a local drive, internal or external. The catalogs can be copied to and from network drives and cloud services for safe keeping, but they need to be local for use.

If the student computers are Windows PCs, mapping letter drives to catalog folders on network drives with the subst command will enable access by a single instance of Lightroom Classic per catalog. This should work reasonably well if the PCs are hard-wired to the file server. See for details.

Lightroom Classic (*LrC*) normally will not access a catalog that resides on a network drive. In 2007, Adobe engineer Dan Tull[1][2] tested LrC catalogs on a corporate network drive by disconnecting the cable and observed catalog corruption, so Adobe coded LrC to disallow them on network drives. Technically, however, network drives are designed to behave like local drives. An LrC catalog is an SQLite database, the integrity of which is maintained via standard Windows file locking, which is also supported by SMB, the protocol Windows uses to access files on network drives. Thus, catalog corruption is the result of hardware failure or software bugs, not inherent technical limitations or incompatibilities. But since more hardware and software are involved in accessing network-attached storage than internal or directly-attached external storage, the risk of catalog corruption is greater.

Also, LrC currently requires that the `Previews.lrdata` folder must reside in the same folder as the catalog. Thus, when the catalog is on a network drive, previews will also reside there, slowing performance.

For anyone reading along, this does not allow multiple people to use the SAME catalog simultaneously now that it is on a networked drive that multiple people can access. Multiple people using the catalog simultaneously is not allowed, and even if you could find a work-around, it would cause the catalog to become corrupted.

His mother, Annika Dworet, said in court in 2022 through tears, \"We have an empty bedroom in our house. There is an empty chair at our dining table. [Nick's brother] Alex will never have a brother to talk or hang out with. They will never again go for a drive blasting very loud music.\"

\"Jaime will be forever 14, but it was not supposed to be that way,\" Fred Guttenberg added in court. \"I couldn't wait to teach her drive. I couldn't wait to throw her a Sweet 16 party.
